Protocol layer (UPDM - MODAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Protocol Layer:
• From a
Protocol: right-click the Protocol, point to New, point to MODAF, and then click Protocol Layer.
On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Protocol element that is the type of the Protocol Layer, or create an untyped Protocol.
◦ Click the
Protocol Layer button, and then click the owning
Protocol. On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Protocol element that is the type of the Protocol Layer, or create an untyped Protocol.
◦ Click the
Composite Association button, click the owning Protocol, and then click the Protocol element that is the type of the Protocol Layer.
You can also create Protocol Layer elements through the
Association and
Uni-Directional Association buttons.
◦ Click the
Protocol Layer button, and then click the owning
Protocol or
Protocol Layer. On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Protocol element that is the type of the Protocol Layer, or create an untyped Protocol.
If the Protocol that owns the TV-2 Protocol Layer Definition is not shown on the diagram, create a Protocol Layer on that Protocol by clicking in free space.
◦ From an appropriate Modeler pane, locate the
Protocolelement that you want to use as the type of the Protocol Layer, and then drag that Protocol to the Protocol or Protocol Layer on the diagram.
If the Protocol that owns the TV-2 Protocol Layer Definition is not shown on the diagram, create a Protocol Layer on that Protocol by dragging the type to free space on the diagram.
