Increment (dictionary item)

An increment is a sub-set of a model that delivers part of a complete application. Models are divided into increments to provide early benefit to the user and to reduce risks involved in large models.
You can create an increment through the context menu of a Package: right-click the Package, and select New > UML > Use Cases > Increment.

If you select the Proprietary\Increments folder in the Dictionary pane, the Contents pane displays the following information about each Increment in the model: Expected Delivery Date and Actual Delivery Date.
In the Modeler panes, a short-cut symbol on the Increment's icon indicates that the item is a stub.

Properties
In addition to the standard properties, an Increment has these properties:
• Actual Delivery Date (Actual Date Of Delivery through the automation interface)
• Expected Delivery Date (Expected Date Of Delivery through the automation interface)

Dependency —The Dependency is owned jointly by the Increment and the other associated item. The access permissions you have to a Dependency are determined by the access permissions of the dependent item.

Increment (previous) —The linked Increment precedes the current Increment.
