Importing a mapping from a mappings options file (Integration for PTC RV&S)
This procedure imports a Mapping from a Mapping Options File. For information about exporting Mappings to a Mapping Options File, see Exporting mappings to a mapping options file (Integration for PTC RV&S).
*
A Mapping is saved with a model, so all users of a model will have access to any Integration for Lifecycle Manager Mappings created for that model.
To import a mapping from a mapping options file:
1. In Modeler, open the model for which you want to create a Mapping from a Mapping Options File.
2. On the Tools tab, click the arrow next to Integrity Lifecycle Manager, and then click Synchronize.
3. On the Mapping Selection page, click Import.
4. Select the Mapping Options File from which you want to import a Mapping, and then click Open.
5. From the Import Mapping dialog, select the check box associated with the Mapping you want to import.
You can expand a Mapping to see which Modeler types, properties and relationships are included in the Mapping.
If you do not want to import selected Modeler types, properties or relationships, clear the check boxes associated with the types, properties and relationships you want to exclude. Alternatively, you can import the complete Mapping, and then remove unwanted Modeler types, properties and relationships through the Integration for Lifecycle Manager user interface.
6. Click OK.
7. On the Model and Integrity Lifecycle Manager Document Selection page, type the Name of the new Mapping and select the Modeler root item and select the PTC RV&S Document, root item and default field and then click Next.
8. Follow the Integration for Lifecycle Manager pages and change any settings as required. On the Synchronize page, save the new Mapping by clicking Save Mapping Only or Save Mapping and Synchronize.
