Free Axis (Based on a Path)
Rotating Parts Around a Freely Selected Axis (Based on a Path)
The previous exercise demonstrated how to create and work with a free axis for any view. The free axis created in the exercise was situated at the origin of the coordinate system.
Using the free axis introduced in this exercise it is possible to change the orientation of parts independently of the coordinate axes. The axis is created perpendicular in the center of a selected area.
The following exercise demonstrates how to create a free axis (based on a path). A number of parts are then rotated around this axis.

Grid alignment, Grid Snap, and Element Snap must be on.
Dimensions must be off.
The isometric grid must be set.
