Exploding Parts in 3D Mode
Spatially Separating Part Drawings in 3D Mode to Create a Spare Part Drawing
There are several ways that 3D data can be changed in the 3D mode of Arbortext IsoDraw CADprocess. You can set the projection, or the 3D orientation of the drawing, as desired. You can also select one of four display modes depending on the type of editing involved. You can use the tools from the toolbar and various Arbortext IsoDraw functions to edit the drawing or objects/surfaces on it.
The following exercise first introduces how an imported drawing is prepared for further editing. It then offers two options for spatially separating the parts of an assembly unit. Separation or exploding is used to prepare the assembly unit for a spare parts diagram. Following conversion, editing of the generated 2D illustration can then be completed.
