About Loading Designs from Diagram
After you save a design from Diagram as a Diagram Export file (DGE), you can load it as a new design or use it as a template. Diagram data is loaded as a wiring diagram. The relevant design items for each sheet are created using standard Creo Schematics items. The loaded design will match the original design as closely as possible for the following attributes:
Position, size, color, and layer of graphic items.
XML content for export to Cabling.
*
Terminator tables are not loaded with the design. You must load them separately.
Items that require specific instructions and user input to map are defined in the diagram_load_config.dat configuration file.
A log file is created during the loading process. The log file lists what was loaded, what was ignored, and the catalog items and sheets that were created. You can compare the entries on the catalog items list with the Central Catalog after loading.
*
You can import Diagram data into Creo Schematics Lite with the following restrictions:
The design can have only 10 sheets or fewer. The load process fails if the design contains more than 10 sheets.
A Central Catalog is not supported. Use a design properties file to share the catalog items created.
