The Welding application automatically creates parameters when you define welds, welding materials, and welding processes. In addition to these application parameters, you can create user-defined parameters.

Within a welding model, each welding parameter is defined by its name and parameter type. Welding parameters are stored with the model, and you can reuse them by storing them in a file in your working directory.

Welding measurement parameters are a type of welding feature parameter based on a measurement from the model. If the model changes, the measurement value also changes. You can define an existing welding feature parameter as measure-driven only if its type is Real.
