Welding lets you create welds as assembly features that are represented graphically. With welding you can set the required joining conditions for the assemblies.
Use the Welding area of Help to learn about creating welds in an assembly, creating edge preparations, and creating drawings with weld symbols. In the assembly, welds are represented as surfaces or as curves (light welds). When you add a weld, the merging parts remain in their original geometric state and do not join. Welding features are parametric and associative. As the reference geometry changes, the corresponding welds change accordingly.
