Deleting Inheritance Data

Overview

Keeping the internal data for 3D/2D associativity costs memory. If you are sure that subsequent layouts will not need this 3D/2D associativity data with respect to formerly created layouts, you can release this memory from selected parts using the DELETE-INHERITANCE-DATA command.

Activation

Enter into command line

   (load "delete_inh")

Or add this line to your customization file.

Description

After typing DELETE_INHERITANCE_DATA into command line, you enter the select container and are asked to select the parts you want to work on.

Notes

This command removes the internal data about the modification history of parts, from the edges and faces that provide the information for 3D/2D associativity, with respect to formerly created layouts.
