related to a design in the table, and then click Define Variations. The Define Variations dialog box opens.|

The Define Variations dialog box allows you to define design variations based on the design goals and design constraints defined in the initial study in Creo Parametric. For example, if the initial study contains limit volume as the design goal and material spreading as a design constraint, you can vary them using the Define Variations dialog box.

The number of design definitions added to the Setup Tree equals to the multiplication of the points defined for the design goals and design constraints, except when a value of a design goal or a design constraint is duplicated with a value in the initial study.

A design in GDX and its generated variations do not share any relationship.

When you download a generated design variation to Creo Parametric, you need to edit the design goals and design constraints in the newly created part to match the settings used in the variation. We recommend that you make these edits and save the model.
