To Turn Phantom Display Style On or Off
To begin, you must first select the parts and then perform the following steps:
1. Unhide any of the selected parts that are hidden. (Unhiding does not turn off the Phantom display style.)
2. Activate the figure window.

CTRL+click or SHIFT+click in the figure window to activate it without losing your current part selection.
To Turn On Phantom Display Style
1. In the figure window, select the parts to turn on. The Parts tab appears in the Ribbon.
2. In the Parts tab Style group, click Phantom. The Phantom display style turns on for all selected parts.
To Turn Phantom Display Style Off for Selected Phantom Parts
1. In the figure window, hold down the ALT key and select only those phantom parts that you want to turn off. The Parts tab appears in the Ribbon.
2. In the Parts tab Style group, click Phantom. The Phantom display style turns off for the selected phantom parts.
To Turn Phantom Display Style On or Off for All Selected Parts
1. In the figure window, select all the parts you want to turn on or off the Phantom display style. Hold down the ALT key to include phantom parts in your selection. The Parts tab appears in the Ribbon.
2. If you select both phantom and nonphantom parts:
a. In the Parts tab Style group, click Phantom. The Phantom display style turns on for all selected nonphantom parts, and stays on for all selected phantom parts.
b. To turn Phantom display style off for all selected parts, click Phantom again.
3. If you select only nonphantom parts:
a. In the Parts tab Style group, click Phantom. The Phantom display style turns on for all selected parts.
b. To turn Phantom display style off for all selected parts, click Phantom again.
4. If you select only phantom parts:
a. In the Parts tab Style group, click Phantom. The Phantom display style turns off for all selected parts.
b. To turn Phantom display style on for all selected parts, click Phantom again.
