About Selecting and Navigating in a Schematic Figure
Selecting Parts and Items in a Schematic Figure
You can select one or more items in a schematic figure. By default, selected items are highlighted.
You can also drag the pointer over an area to highlight an item.
To select all parts that are located fully with in the selection box, drag from left to right.
To select all parts that touch the selection box, drag from right to left.
A Schematic Figure has the following selection filters available:
Smart
Cables
Components
Connections
Highways
Tables
Text (not attached to an item)

Text attached to an item, and pins associated with a component are selected with the item or component and cannot be selected separately.
You can select an item from the active figure or from one of the partitions on the sBOM pane. When you select an item either in the sBOM pane or in the view, it is automatically highlighted in the sBOM pane or in the partitions. For most items, you can open every partition in which the item appears. Use the partitions to show or hide connections.
The following partitions are available for a schematic item:
Connections
Highways
Text
Special Symbols
You can set options to enable or disable selection and preselection highlighting and lowlighting for Schematic Figures.
Navigating a Schematic Figure
Continuation Links are graphic items that link to a corresponding item on the same figure or a different figure. Continuation Links are selectable. They are listed in the sBOM pane as children of the connection/highway that they are attached to. If you hide one instance of the Continuation Link, all instances are hidden.
Continuation Links can be selected alone or together with a connection or highway.
