1. In an open design, open an artifact properties dialog box.
2. Select the layer parameter from the Parameter Name list, and then click Choose Value. The Select a string dialog box opens.
3. Choose a layer from the list and click .
4. Click OK.
Changing the layer parameter of the artifact will change the layer assigned to all existing shapes for the artifact to the new value set for the layer parameter.
