To Instance Ports
1. In an open diagram or group sheet, select the parent object to which to add a port.
2. Click Diagramming > Insert > Instance Port. The Catalog Selector opens.

You can also click Diagramming > Catalog Explorer to open the Catalog Explorer.
3. Select the relevant folder in the Folders tree, and then select the port from the Ports list.
4. From the Portshapes list, select the portshape to instance and click OK in the Catalog Selector, or click in the Catalog Explorer. The Catalog Selector closes, or move the Catalog Explorer, the portshape appears attached to the pointer.
5. Position the pointer to place the shape in the diagram, right-click, and choose Turn Right, Turn Left, or Set Rotation from the shortcut menu and click. The shape is instanced. Repeat as required.
6. To place additional instances of other ports that are already included in the diagram:
a. Right-click and choose Multiport. The Existing Portshapes dialog box opens.
b. Select a port from the Portshapes list and click OK. The Existing Portshapes dialog box closes and the selected portshape appears attached to the pointer.
c. Position the pointer to place the shape in the diagram and click the sheet. The shape is instanced. Repeat as required.
7. Right-click and choose Exit Tool from the shortcut menu.
