To Add Ports to Block or Group Instances

Creo™ Schematics 4.0 Help Center > Design Basics > Working with an Internal Catalog > Ports > To Add Ports to Block or Group Instances

1. In an open diagram sheet, select the block or group instance to which to add a port.

2. Click Diagramming >

Catalog Explorer to open the Catalog Explorer, or click Diagramming > Insert >

Instance Port to open the Catalog Selector dialog box.

3. Select the relevant folder in the Folders tree, and then select the port artifact from the Name list.

4. Select the portshape to add from the Portshapes list, and then click

in the Catalog Explorer, or click OK in the Catalog Selector. The portshape appears attached to the pointer.

5. Position the pointer to locate the port in the blockshape or groupshape and click. Repeat as required.

6. Right-click and choose Exit Tool from the shortcut menu.
