To Create Geometry for a Custom Cable Decoration
1. Click
Add Conductors.
2. Point and click to place the first conductor. A construction line is placed on the sheet.
3. Point and click to place a second line. A second construction line is placed on the sheet.
| Make sure to create custom decorations the right size: • Use the grid. • Place the construction lines using the same spacing as normally spaced ports on a conductor. |
4. Right-click and choose Exit Tool or click to place a third construction line.
5. Use the Geometry commands to create decoration geometry.
6. To change the default scalable attribute, click
Set Fixed to make the decoration geometry fixed. Click
Set Overall to make the geometry cover all conductors. Click
Set Scalable to make the geometry scalable again.
7. Click or clear the Show/Hide check boxes to view fixed decorations, scalable decorations, overall decorations, or a combination of different decorations.
8. To add a label to the cable decoration, click
Add Label. The
Create Label for Sheet dialog box opens.
9. To blank the fibers under the cable decoration, click the Blank Fibers check box.
10. To preview the decoration, click
Preview. The
Preview of decoration dialog box opens.
11. Click
Close.
