About the Decoration Tab
Use these tools to create and edit cable decorations. The Decoration tab opens when you click to open a cable decoration sheet.
Create Group
Use the Create command to represent cable conductors.
• Add Conductors—Adds up to 3 horizontal construction lines representing conductors. After you add 3 construction lines the command is unavailable.
Geometry Group
Use the Geometry commands to create cable decoration geometry.
• Thin Solid Line—Creates a solid thin line.
• Circle – Radius or Diameter—Creates a new circle.
• Slot Radii 0/90—Creates a new slot.
Define-Attributes Group
Use the Define-Attributes commands to set attributes for cable decoration geometry.
• Set Fixed—Sets the selected geometry to be fixed.
• Set Scalable—Sets the selected geometry to be scalable.
• Set Overall—Sets the decoration to scale to maintain presence across all cores of the cable.
Show/Hide Group
Click the Show/Hide check boxes to view fixed, scalable, and overall cable decoration geometry.
• View Fixed—Shows cable decoration geometry set as fixed.
• View Scalable—Shows cable decoration geometry set as scalable.
• View Overall—Shows cable decoration geometry set as overall.
Finish-Off Group
Use the Finish-Off commands to add labels, blank fibers, and see a preview of the decoration.
• Add Label—Opens the Create Label dialog box.
• Blank Fibers check box—Controls the blanking of the fibers where the cable decoration is placed.
• Preview—Opens the Preview of decoration dialog box.
