About the Text Tab
Use these tools to create and edit text.
Create Group
Use the Create commands to create text.
• Plain Text—Opens the New Text dialog box.
• Decorated Text—Opens the New Text dialog box. Click the arrow to place text with the following decorations:
◦ Boxed Text with Rounded Ends
◦ Boxed Text
◦ Text with a Visible Datum Point
◦ Text Enclosed in a Circle
◦ Underlined Text
• Custom Text—Opens the New Text Properties dialog box. Changes made in the New Text Properties dialog box are kept between sessions.
• Create a Multi-Line Note—Opens the Multi-line Text dialog box.
• XHTML Table—Opens the Place Table on Sheet dialog box.
Modify Group
Use the Modify commands to replace text properties or convert a label to text.
• Replace Properties—Replaces the properties of the selected text with properties of the text you choose.
• Convert Text to Label—Converts the selected text to a label.
