About the Data Tab
Use these commands to generate reports, to check wire interconnect diagrams, and manipulate variable groups and connectors.
Report Group
Use the Report commands to format and generate reports.
• Format Report—Opens the
Format report dialog box.
Get Data Group
Use the Get Data commands to import sheets into the design.
• Import—Displays the following options for importing sheets.
◦ Design Properties—Opens the Import Design Properties dialog box.
◦ Design Sheets—Opens the Import Design Sheets dialog box.
◦ PCB Net Data—Opens the Import PCB net data dialog box.
BID/WID Group
Use the BID/WID commands to check design rules.
• Check Connections—Checks connections.
• Check Shapes—Checks for matching shapes.
• Check Harness—Checks for matching harnesses.
• Check Pin Numbers—Checks for matching pin numbers.
Index Group
Use the Index commands to manipulate ports of variable groups.
• Terminator Table—Opens the
Terminator Table dialog box.
• Reorder Logical Names—Reorders logical names on the selected variable group.
• Fix Index—Click the arrow to display commands to fix variable group indexes.
◦ Fix Index in Report—Fixes the main index of the variable groupshape selected in the report.
◦ Compact Indicies—Compacts indices of the selected variable group.
• Obsolete Ports—Click the arrow to display reset obsolete ports commands.
◦ Reset Port in Report—Resets the selected port in a report.
◦ Reset Selected Port—Resets the selected port.
◦ Reset All Ports—Resets all obsolete ports.
• Apply Pin Parameters—Opens the
Select Pin Parameters File dialog box.
Cross-reference Group
Use the
Cross-reference Groupshape command to create and update cross-reference groupshapes.
Explore Group
Use these commands to find objects or view the selected object in the Catalog Explorer.
• Find—Opens the
Find tool.
• View in Catalog Explorer—Opens the
Catalog Explorer to the selected shape.
