About The Terminator Table User Interface
The terminator table defines the criteria for a terminator to be matched to a particular pin. The header has three mandatory rows:
Row 1—Specifies the actions on the parameter of each object defined in the next two rows.
Row 2—Specifies the object to which the action is applied:
PIN—The pin to which the SET action applies.
CONN—The parent component of the pin being checked.
COND—One or more of the fibers connected to the pin.
SPOOL—The dataset that is applied to each of the fibers connected to the pin.
Row 3—Specifies a parameter of the selected object. Any existing object parameter can be used. For example, a spool's wire gauge, the number of pins in a connector, or the color of a cable conductor can be used to determine which terminator is assigned to a pin.
SET Columns and Match Columns
The first SET column is mandatory. It determines the name of the terminator to assign to a pin. The action is SET, the object PIN, and the parameter TERM_NAME. The remaining columns are optional and are used to customize the terminator table. Additional SET columns define other pin parameters. MATCH columns define the criteria used to search for the appropriate pins.
