About Defining Standard Colors in a Palette
Standard color definitions are saved in the creo_schematics_colors.dat file. The defined colors make up an editing palette not the default colors for objects upon creation. The system looks for the creo_schematics_colors.dat file in the current directory, home directory, and the product root directory. If a valid creo_schematics_colors.dat file is found, you cannot add or edit colors in the Select a Color dialog box.
You can also define colors using the <diagram type> parameter in the creo_schematics_colors.dat file.
*
The color of existing graphics on a sheet is not affected when you edit a color in the creo_schematics_colors.dat file. However, when you edit a color in the Define Color dialog box, all graphics on the sheet that use the edited color are updated.
The creo_schematics_colors.dat file format is as follows:
First line: <type>,<colors>
All other lines: <red component>, <green component>, <blue component>, <diagram type>
Where:
<red component>, <green component>, <blue component>
Real numbers (0.0–1.0).
<diagram type>—Optional. Can be block, circuit, wiring, pid, or all. Up to 128 colors can be defined for each diagram type.
