About the Project Command
Use the Project command to create geometry by projecting selected model curves or edges onto the sketching plane. The system aligns endpoints of the entity to the endpoints of the edge. The entity created has the constraint symbol.
There are two types of selection available:
One-by-One selection— select one or more individual curves or edges. When these edges are projected, multiple new entities are created on the sketching plane. Each newly created entity maintains the same constraints as the original entity that was projected.
Chain selection— select a chain or loop. When the chain or loop is projected, it is treated as a single entity and only one new entity, a composite curve, is created on the sketching plane. The newly created composite curve does not maintain the same constraints as the original entities.
You can collect multiple chains or entities to project geometry.
