Workflow—Creo Ansys Simulation
The following is a typical workflow for an end-to-end simulation and analysis of a design problem using Creo Ansys Simulation
1. Create a model in Creo Parametric, or import, or open an existing model.
2. Launch Creo Ansys Simulation. You are prompted to select a type of study if your model doesn’t have any simulation studies defined.
3. Define the study.
Optionally to add additional studies, click Ansys Simulation > Add Study.
4. Define a valid simulation material if not already defined. If your model has material defined it will be used for analyses automatically.
5. Define constraints or boundary conditions for your study.
6. Define loads for your study. Loads are not required for modal studies.
7. Optionally, define connections and idealizations to refine your model.
8. Click Ansys Simulation > Run > Study Check to run a pre-processor diagnostic check to confirm that the active study contains the minimum required valid simulation objects to run a simulation study.
If a Creo model that you open in Creo Ansys Simulation requires regeneration (indicated by the regeneration status indicator in the lower right of the window), you must first regenerate the model before you try to generate the mesh, or run a simulation study on it.
9. Optionally, mesh the model, view the mesh, and refine the mesh if required.
10. Optionally, define advanced results if the basic results are insufficient for a simulation study.
11. Optionally, create simulation probes to study a result for specific geometry for a simulation study.
12. Run the simulation study.
13. View results in the Graphics Window.
