Controlling a Mesh
Physics-aware meshing is the default meshing approach where the meshing is based on the simulation study and the geometry and is the recommended approach unless you face some issue with your geometry or your results.
Mesh controls allow you to control different properties of the mesh which can affect the overall results and the performance of the simulation study. Click Refine Model > Mesh Control to open the Mesh Control tab that allows you to control the mesh settings for the active study. The following mesh controls are available on the Mesh Control tab.
Mesh Resolution—Controls the size of mesh elements and the solution fidelity. Move the slider from Low to High to increase the mesh resolution and solution fidelity. Increased resolution increases computation time and uses more system resources.
Global Mesh Size—Enables you to control the global mesh sizing and properties.
Local Mesh Refinement—Enables you to create a finer mesh for a specific reference.
Generate Mesh—Creates the mesh. The progress and status of mesh generation can be monitored using the Process Manager.
Display Mesh—Displays the mesh on the model, or on the active results.
