To Add a Miter Cut
Flange Walls
To follow this procedure you must have created a flange wall with a pair of tangent wall segments.
1. In the Flange tab, click Miter Cuts. The Miter Cuts tab opens.
2. Click Add miter cuts.
3. From the 3-bend corner relief type list select one of the following options:
Tangent—Creates the relief cuts tangent to the middle bend edges.
Closed—Creates a corner patch that is flattened during an unbend operation.
4. Set the offset value and width of the gap.
Flat Walls
To follow this procedure you must have created multiple flat walls, or a flat wall with a pair of tangent wall segments.
1. In the Flat tab, click Miter Cuts. The Miter Cuts tab opens.
2. Click Add miter cuts.
3. From the 3-bend corner relief type list select one of the following options:
Tangent—Creates the relief cuts tangent to the middle bend edges.
Open—Creates linear relief cuts to the side bend vertexes.
Closed—Creates a corner patch that will be flattened as a deformation area.
Rips—Creates rips for the relief.
4. From the Miter cut type list select one of the following options to set the shape of the miter cut groove:
Through All—Creates the groove through to the corner relief. This option is not available for a Closed corner type.
Obround—Creates an obround shape groove.
No Gap—Creates a groove with zero width.
5. For the Through All cuts, set the width of the gap. For Obround cuts, set the offset value and width of the gap.
