Multiphase—Introduction
In natural occurrences and engineering systems, the flow of interest often concerns multiple fluids with different materials and sizes, and physical states of gas, liquid, and solid. Two examples are the water cycle in the atmosphere, and the water-air bubbly flows in bubble columns. In such situations, the water-vapor and water-air systems are commonly referred to as two-phase or two-fluid flows. Each phase acts as a single fluid flow, and the phase-to-phase interactions cause interphase exchanges of momentum, mass, and heat. Such flows are modeled using the Multiphase module in Creo Flow Analysis.
To access this module, follow the steps listed below:
1. Click Physics Module. The Physical Model Selection dialog box opens.
2. Select the module from Available Modules. In the Flow Analysis Tree, under Physics, Multiphase is added.
