About the Rip Connect User Interface
The Rip Connect user interface consists of commands, tabs, and shortcut menus. To access the Rip Connect tool, click Sheetmetal > Rip > Rip Connect.
Use the configuration option smt_drive_tools_by_parameters to control the default values and behavior of selected tool settings. Set the configuration option to yes to automatically update features when parameter values change.
Commands
Rip Connect collector—Displays the number of selected datum point or vertex references.
Tabs
Placement
Use this tab to select datum point or vertex references.
Rip Connect Set list—Lists any defined sets of rips. Click New Set to define a new rip connect set.
Ends—Displays the datum point or vertex references added to the set.
Add gap—Adds a space by a specified value or according to the value controlled by the SMT_GAP parameter.
Properties
Use this tab to display detailed feature information.
Name—Shows a feature name.
—Shows feature information in a browser.
Shortcut Menus
Right-click the graphics window to access the commands:
Clear—Removes the reference from the active collector.
Add Rip Connect—Adds a new set of rip connects.
Add gap—Adds a space by a specified value or according to the value controlled by the SMT_GAP parameter.
