About Working with Site Files in the Process Table
Parameters can be inherited by default from a workcell or an active site. You can retrieve parameters from an existing site file by clicking File > Open Site in the Edit Parameters dialog box. To open this dialog box, perform the following steps:
Select the step in the process table and click . The tab for the selected sequence opens.
Click Parameters and then click . The Edit Parameters dialog box for the selected step opens.
You can also retrieve parameters of another site appropriate for the current NC sequence by clicking Edit > Inherit From Site. However, retrieving parameters by inheriting them from a site file does not activate the site file for subsequent NC sequences.

When creating an NC sequence, ensure that an appropriate site file is associated with the current workcell for the NC sequence to inherit the parameters of the selected site file.
When you select a site file using File > Open Site, the site file is listed on the Inherit From Site menu. The site a step inherits its parameters from is marked on the Inherit From Site menu.
The default parameters for the workcell is identified next to the site name on the Inherit From Site menu. You can select any site listed on the Inherit From Site menu. Changes in that site are passed to any steps referencing it.
Changing an inherited value for a parameter breaks its inheritance. You can restore the inheritance by selecting the original value, enclosed in parentheses () from the Value list.
Parameters retrieved using File > Open or File > Open Site are copied, not inherited to the file on disk. Similarly, parameters retrieved from an existing step using Edit > Copy from Step are copied, not inherited.
