To Create a Fillet Weld
1. Click Applications > Welding. The Welding tab opens.
2. Click Fillet Weld. The Fillet Weld tab opens.
3. Under Position, select an option:
Single-sided—Create a one-sided weld.
Double-sided—Create a symmetrical double-sided fillet weld on both sides of a piece of metal.
4. In assemblies, to connect the Weld feature to a previously-created Joint Members feature:
a. Under Connection, click .
b. Click the collector, and select the Joint Members feature to contain the Weld feature.
5. Under Dimensioning scheme, select a weld dimensioning scheme from the list, and then type a value for the selected dimensions.
6. To set the trajectory calculation method, under Lightweight Weld Trajectory, select an option:
Automatic—Automatically calculates the lightweight weld trajectory. Not available when the dimensioning scheme is selected.
Manual—Manually calculates the lightweight weld trajectory (user-defined), and then select a chain reference to define the weld trajectory on the Location tab.
7. Click the Location tab, and define the weld location.
8. To create an intermittent weld, click the Intermittency tab, select the Intermittent weld check box, and set intermittency options.
9. Click the Options tab, and define the weld options.
10. Click the Symbol tab, and define the properties of the weld symbol displayed in the graphics window.
11. To add a user-defined parameter, click the Properties tab, and then click Define. Enter a parameter in the Parameters dialog box that opens.
12. Click OK.
