About Sheet Metal Parameters
Sheet metal parameters control the default settings of sheet metal tool properties. Each parameter has a corresponding setting that is displayed in the Model Properties dialog box. Set or modify sheet metal parameters using the Sheetmetal Preferences dialog box, or using the Parameters dialog box.
From Creo Parametric 11.0.0.0, sheet metal parameters are system parameters and follow the units of the part. You cannot change the units of system parameters, but these units update when the part units are changed. Sheet metal system parameters behave like other system parameters except for the following:
You can add sheet metal parameters to solid parts or to solid bodies. The new parameters become system parameters.
You can remove sheet metal parameters in solid parts and bodies when the parameters are not locked.
Sheet metal body parameters are locked by the part when the body is linked to the part.
Set these configuration options to control the behavior of default tool settings:
smt_drive_tools_by_parameters—To use parameter values as the default values of selected tool settings and to automatically update features when parameter values change.
smt_drive_bend_by_parameters—To use parameter values to control the default value of bend angle and bend dimension location settings and to automatically update features when parameter values change.

If you want to enable smt_drive_bend_by_parameters, you must also set smt_drive_tools_by_parameters to yes.
The following table lists all the sheet metal-specific parameters, their description, and required parameter values. Sheet metal bodies have parameters and the sheet metal tools use the body parameters. Note that 3 of the parameters listed below are different for a part and a body.
