About Manikin Models, Scenes, and Snapshots
There are three types of standard Creo Parametric entities that are used in Creo Manikin:
Design scene—A representation of a work area as designed by a Creo Parametric user.
Manikin model—An accurate digital representation of a person of a specific gender and nationality. Each manikin model has been assigned a percentile value within its ethnic or national group. A manikin model is a standard Creo Parametric assembly that can be manipulated and positioned within the design scene. Starting in Creo 10, all manikins are inseparable assemblies.
You can customize two of the manikins, m_custom and w_custom, by editing their dimensions.
Snapshots—Two types of snapshots exist in Creo Manikin:
Scene snapshot—Captures all the constraints that apply to the design scene, its components, and all the manikins in the model.
Individual manikin snapshot—Captures all the active constraints on the manikin in a specific position within the design scene for one single manikin, and the manikin component positions.
These entities are used to explore human-centric designs to optimize product usability and ensure conformance to safety and health guidelines in both product and workplace.
The following steps describe a typical Creo Manikin workflow:
1. Create or open a design scene.
2. Insert a manikin from the manikin library.
3. Position the manikin.
4. Create snapshots.
5. Run an analysis.
6. Evaluate the results.
