Setting Up the Composite Design Environment
Before you start defining plies and cores, complete the following setup:
The drop-off value is set by default. You can change it based on your requirement. To learn how to define the drop-off value, see Define the Drop-off Value.
After you create plies and cores, you can manage their color mapping. To learn how to manage the color mapping of plies, see Manage the Color Mapping of Plies.
Setup the default prefixes for the names and sequences of the plies and cores as follows:
1. In the Creo Parametric Options dialog box, double click Applications and select Composite.
2. To change the default prefix of ply name, ply sequence, core name, or core sequence, enter a new prefix.
*
When you create a new ply or a core, “_” character will be added after the ply name or core name prefix, and “.” character will be added after the ply sequence or core sequence prefix.
3. Click OK.
