Define the Drop-off Value
Drop-off is the distance between the sidewall of a lower ply and the dropped ply. In the following figure, the distance between A and B is the drop-off. You can see the drop-off of a ply in the laminate section. The result of a laminate section is displayed considering the drop-off values of the plies.
Specify the default drop-off value for plies and cores as follows:
1. Click Drop-off. The Drop-off dialog box opens.
2. Specify the drop-off value.
3. Click OK.

When you create a new ply, you can select Default or specify a value in the Drop-off box in the Ply Settings. Select Default, to use the drop-off value defined in the setup, or specify a custom value.
