Create Ply Book from a Drawing Template
In Drawing mode, you can use a ply book template to create a ply book. When you use a template to create a ply book, the drawing views and details of each ply are displayed on an individual sheet.
Create a ply book using a drawing template as follows:
1. Click File > New. The New dialog box opens.
2. Select Drawing.
3. To change the default name of the ply book, enter a name in the File name box. To use the name of the drawing model as the name of the ply book, select Use drawing model file name.
4. Click OK. The New Drawing dialog box opens.
5. In the Default Model box, select the part that contains the parent composite feature of the plies.
6. Select a drawing template for the ply book as follows:
a. Select Use template option to select a ply book template.
b. Select a template from the list or click Browse to select another template.
7. Click OK.
8. When the model has more than one composite feature, The Select Composite Feature dialog box opens. Select the correct composite feature and click Create.
