You can use the Insert Ply Book command to add a ply book or a set of plies to an existing drawing. Before you use this command, make sure that the Ignore display status of layers in model setting in the Layer Status Control dialog box is set to Yes or All.
Add a ply book or a set of plies from a composite feature to an existing drawing as follows:
1. Open the drawing.

3. In the Layout tab, click Insert > Insert Ply Book. The Insert Ply Book dialog box opens.
4. Enter a value in the Ply Range box in one of the following ways:
To insert more than one sheets for a range of plies, enter the ply range separated by a dash. For example, you can enter 5–9 to insert sheets for the plies from the fifth ply to the ninth ply.
To insert a sheet for a ply, specify the number of the ply. For example, you can enter 5 to insert a sheet for the fifth ply.
5. Select a ply book template from the list or click Browse to select another ply book template. Ensure that the units of the ply book template are the same as the units of the existing drawing.
