Boundary Blend Surfaces: Improved to Avoid Inflections
Creo+
User Interface Location: Click Model > Boundary Blend.
Description
Boundary blend surfaces have been improved to avoid inflections.
Previously, in cases where boundary blend surfaces had two reference chains, with one Free (Position) connection, and one constrained with a Tangent, Curvature, or Normal condition at the boundary, there could be inflection at the Free boundary. To achieve the desired shape, the surface had to be adjusted manually to remove the inflection.
Creo 11:
Boundary Blend surfaces have now been improved so the resulting surface will not have inflection. The surface shape is as expected, without the need for additional adjustments.
Creo 12:
Benefits
Improved surface quality of Boundary Blend surfaces
Surface behaves in a predictable and desirable way
No inflections at the free side when Boundary Blend surfaces are constrained from one side
