Comparing Changes
You can compare the modifications made between two changes from the same branch or different branches using the Compare command. The differences are compared between the selected change and the current active change. Only design related changes are shown. The compare operation is executed for models in active window only.
When comparing changes make sure that the top-level object in the current active model exists both in the compare target change and the originating change.
To compare changes:
1. Select a change in collaboration history.
2. Right-click and select Compare. The Compare dialog box opens.
3. Changed features and components are highlighted in the Model Tree and Model Graphics window. See the Legend to review the different types of changes.
4. Click OK.
When you compare changes from different branches or from the same branch but originating from different branch (due to merge or restore operation), two sets of Model Tree and graphics window are displayed as compare results. Each window compares against the change sharing the same originating design to showcase how the design has diverged in each design path.
Additionally, when comparing two sets of model trees or graphic windows, the originating changes are activated temporarily to evaluate the differences.
