Project Outline projects the silhouette of a part or a set of faces of a part perpendicular onto a workplane. Workplane and part may not intersect.
Inner holes are detected, but notice the difference between projecting two faces only (left) or projecting the whole part. When projecting the outline of a set of faces, the outline criteria are based on the faces and not the part.
To project the outline of a part onto a workplane,
1. Click Mold Design and then, in the Imprint group, click Silhouette. The Silhouette dialog box opens.
2. If necessary, click Part and specify a different part to project.
3. To project a set of faces, click Faces and select the faces.
4. If necessary, click Workplane and specify a different part to project.
