Compare structures
Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager includes three structure comparison utilities:
Structure Compare - Compares the structure of any two structures, including packets, models, and parts. For example, you could compare the structure of a packet with the structure of a model, compare the structures of two different models, or compare the structures of two versions of the same model.
Part Structure Compare - Compares the structure of any two Masterdata. You can compare the structure of two completely different parts or compare the structure of two versions of the same part.
BOM Compare - Compares two different versions of the BOM for an assembly. See Compare BOM versions.
Compare the structure of an assembly in Creo Elements/Direct Modeling with one in the database,
1. In Creo Elements/Direct Modeling, click File > Model Manager > Structure Compare. The Structure Compare dialog box opens.
2. Select the assembly in the Structure Browser. Alternatively, right-click the assembly in the Structure Browser and, in the shortcut menu, click Model Manager > Structure Compare.
3. Select the versions and click OK. The Compare Results dialog box opens.
Compare the structure of two parts or assemblies in the database,
1. Select the part or assembly in Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager.
2. Click Structure and then, in the Analyze group, click the arrow next to Structure Compare.
3. Click Structure Compare or Part Structure Compare. Alternatively, right-click the part or assembly and, in the shortcut menu, click Structure Compare or Part Structure Compare.
4. Select the part or assembly you want to compare to and click OK. All of the Workspace tabs are available so you find the part or assembly in Recent List, Search, or Favorites. The Compare Results dialog box opens.
