Load a drawing
Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager allows you to load drawings. You can also load different versions of drawings.
You can always load drawings stored on your local file system by clicking on File, then Load in the Creo Elements/Direct Drafting menu bar. These drawings will not be stored in the database unless you save them in Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager.
To load a drawing from Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager:
1. In Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager right-click the drawing to be loaded, and click Load, or click Load with > Drafting. Alternatively, double-click the drawing. The Drawing Manager Load dialog box opens.
*
If you choose to double-click the drawing, the Drawing Manager Load dialog box opens only if you have selected the Show load UI for 2D (Double click) option in the Preferences dialog box. For more information, see Change your preferences.
2. In the Drawing Manager Load dialog box, click Load.
3. Click Confirm in the Creo Elements/Direct Drafting menu. The selected drawing is now loaded in Creo Elements/Direct Drafting.
*
Drawings that were originally created in Creo Elements/Direct Annotation will have the word ANNO after the file name at the top of the window.
To load a backup drawing file:
You can load drawing files which have been overwritten.
To see backup drawing files:
1. Right-click in the white space of the Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager Load dialog box and click Layout > me_drawing or Layout > DRAWING_2D.
2. Click the File To Load check box.
3. Click the down arrow in the File To Load box to see the available drawing files.
