Display and update title block information
When you first load a title block, Creo Elements/Direct Drawing Manager does not automatically load the associated values from the database. This happens only when you update the title block.
Updating a title block means that the Drawing 2D, Masterdata, and change note attribute values stored in the database are placed onto the field where they are assigned. For example, if the drawing's owner is "jengel", then when you update the information, jengel will appear in the Name field of the title block.
You can update the title block in any of the following ways:
From the menu panel, click on File > Drawing Manager > Update TitleBlock . Note that the drawing must have been saved at least once for this to work.
Save the drawing (Store All).
Load the drawing.
Even after you update the title block, the title block may contain empty fields because you have not yet defined an attribute value in the database for the text reference in the empty field.
You can assign database values by:
Adding or changing attribute values during a Store All. In the Save dialog, complete or change any of the editable fields. The new information will appear in the drawing's title block.
Adding or changing attribute values in the properties dialog.
a. Click Home and then, in the Edit group, click the arrow next to DB Properties.
b. Click Attributes. Alternatively, right-click on the drawing and, in the shortcut menu, click on DB Properties > Attributes.
c. Click Edit.
d. If you have editing permission, you can change attributes and add notes. These changes will appear in the title block after the next update.
Although you can add or change the database (and thereby change the values that appear in the title block), do not change the title block itself (by adding or changing the title block's text reference definitions). For a description of text references in title blocks, see Title blocks.
