Work with the structure and drawing browsers
The structure (3D) and drawing (2D) browser is a frame you can open in Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access to see the part structure of your model or drawing. You can use these browsers to:
List all objects and elements (for example, parts, assemblies, and workplanes) and show their interrelationships.
Specify parts and assemblies for other operations. For example, to move a part or an assembly within the part structure.
Edit object names and contents IDs within the browser. The ability to drag and drop objects makes the browser a very powerful tool.
Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access updates the browser automatically when, for example, new parts are created.
Open the structure browser
Click 3D Access and then, in the Windows group, click the arrow next to Toolbars. Click Browser Bar. Use the tabs in the browser window to switch between drawing and structure browsers.
Specify an object in the viewport
The easiest way to select an object in the viewport is simply to click on it. But you can also use the structure browser. For example, after starting an operation, you can use the browser to specify input for it. That is, if you have clicked a command and need to specify a part, assembly, workplane, and so on as input to that command, simply double-click the name of the object in the browser's list.
