Customizing the Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access User Interface
This appendix tells you how to customize the user interface to suit your particular needs. All customization is done with the Customize dialog box enabled (click File, then Customize or right-click a toolbar and select Customize).
This dialog box lets you customize the following.
Commands: Use this tab to add command buttons to toolbars and menus, to create and modify command buttons, and to record macros:
To add a button to a toolbar, drag it from the Commands box to any toolbar.
To see other commands, select another category in the Groups box.
To create a new menu item, select Menus in the Groups box and drag the New Menu command in the Commands box to any menubar, toolbar, or context menu. To change the name, right-click the mouse button, select Button Appearance and change the text.
To create a new command (or modify an existing command), click New and complete the User Defined Command dialog box. See Controlling command button properties
To record a macro, click New and complete the User Defined Command dialog box. See Controlling command button properties.
To add a button to a toolbar that isn't showing, click the Toolbars tab and then enable the toolbar.
Now go to Controlling command button properties.
Toolbars: Use this tab to show or hide toolbars:
To show a toolbar, select a check box to the left of its name.
To hide a toolbar, clear the check box.
To reset toolbars to their default state, click Reset All.
To add a button to a toolbar, click the Commands tab.
Now go to Customizing toolbars.
Keyboard: Use this tab to define keyboard shortcuts. Now go to Defining keyboard shortcuts.
Abbreviations: Use this tab to specify keyboard-entered abbreviations that call commands. Now go to Defining keyboard shortcuts.
Menu: Use this tab to set the appearance of:
Application Frame Menus.
Context menus (for example, what appears in a preselection menu when you right-click the mouse button).
Now go to Defining keyboard shortcuts.
Options: Use this tab to change the appearance and control what is displayed in toolbars. Now go to Other customizing options.
