Customizing toolbars
To create a customized toolbar:
1. Click File, then Customize to display the Customize dialog box.
2. Click the Toolbars tab.
3. Click New and type in a name for the new toolbar.
4. Click OK to create the empty toolbar.
5. Click the Commands tab and select a category in the Groups list.
6. In the Commands list, highlight a command and drag it into the new toolbar.
7. Continue building the toolbar this way.
8. When you are done, click Close to close the Customize dialog box.
You can now treat this toolbar as any other toolbar. To make this toolbar visible in other applications such as Creo Elements/Direct Annotation and Creo Elements/Direct Sheet Metal, click the Visible in all applications check box. Otherwise, it will be specific to the current application only.
Additionally, you can reset, edit, or delete toolbars:
Reset
Resets the selected toolbar to its default state (applies to default toolbars only and not to user-created toolbars).
Reset All
Resets all toolbars to their default state (applies to default toolbars only and not to user-created toolbars).
Edit
Edits and renames user-created toolbars.
Delete
Deletes user-created toolbars.
Show text labels
Displays the tooltip as a label under the icon.
Move or copy a menu to a toolbar
Complete menus (or menu entries) that are shown in the menu bar can be moved or copied to other toolbars. To move or copy a menu to a toolbar:
1. Click File, then Customize to display the Customize dialog box.
2. Make sure the source menu and the target toolbar are displayed.
3. To move a menu, drag it to the target toolbar (or just move its position within the toolbar).
4. To copy a menu, hold down the Ctrl key and drag the menu to the target location.
Delete a menu from the toolbar
1. Click File, then Customize to display the Customize dialog box.
2. Make sure the appropriate toolbar is displayed.
3. Drag the menu you want to delete off the toolbar.
Move a toolbar
1. Click the toolbar move handle on a docked toolbar or click the title bar on a floating toolbar.
2. Drag the toolbar to a new location. If you drag the toolbar to the edge of the program window, it becomes a docked toolbar.
