Measure maximum distance
You can measure the maximum distance between edges or faces in a given direction. You can select both 2D edges and 3D edges.
To measure a maximum distance:
1. Click Analysis and then, in the Measure group, click the arrow next to Distance.
2. Click Maximal Distance. The Measure Output and Measure Max Dist dialog boxes open.
3. Specify the edges or faces between which you want to measure the maximal distance.
4. Specify a measure direction.
5. Click Calculate.
Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access calculates the maximal distance and displays the measured distance in the Distance Output box. It also displays graphical feedback for the location of the maximal distance.
*
You cannot measure the maximal distance between a 3D point and an edge or face.
