Lights overview
When you view a model, it is lit by an array of up to 15 lights. You can change the color, intensity, direction, and other characteristics of these lights using the Light Settings menu to make your model look more realistic.
The images above show the three types of lights (from left to right): Directional, Positional, and Spotlight.
While lights add realism to your model, they can also slow performance. As a result, Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access uses only lights 0 through 7 by default. Light 0 is an ambient light; you can only change its color and brightness. All other lights are set as directional, in a variety of colors, and so that they follow the model, but you can change these settings with the Lights dialog box.
To open the light menu right-click the viewport and select Light Properties in the shortcut menu. The Lights dialog box opens. From this dialog box, you can:
Turn lights on or off
Change the active light's cone angle
Change the active light's spot power
Change the active light's attenuation distance
Change the active light's position
Change any light's brightness
Change any light's color
Generating color-shaded views
Saving and loading lights
