Copy faces and other recognized features
You can copy a face or a group of faces as a new face part. The copied faces can bound a solid feature belonging to a part or they can be any collection of faces from a number of parts.
The faces can be manually selected for copying.
You can pre-define a group of faces as a feature before copying.
Features such as bosses, holes, and pockets are recognized by Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access. Pockets may be embedded in one surface only. Bosses and holes may be embedded in more than one face.
Copying a feature creates a face part of the feature. Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access automatically names the new tool, but you can change this selection. After copying features of a part, the new face part remains in the position of the original features, displayed in the face part color. You have to move it to see the changed part. The new face part can be positioned, modified, and copied as usual.
