Format Menu Introduction
The Format menu provides access to stylesheet and formatting tools. It contains the following options:
Select Stylesheets — Allows you to select stylesheets for Editor display and multiple outputs.
Save Stylesheet — Saves the current Editor stylesheet. If the stylesheet has never been saved, this menu command opens the Save Stylesheet As dialog box.
Save Stylesheet As — Opens the Save Stylesheet As dialog box in which you can specify a name, publishing type, and location for the current Editor stylesheet.
Revert Stylesheet — Discards any changes made to the current Editor stylesheet since the last time you saved.
FOSI Editor commands — The following commands are available on the Format menu only when FOSI editing is enabled and full menus are turned on:
Modify Element in Context — Accesses the FOSI Editor panel for style characteristics specific to the element at the cursor's location in the document. Use this panel to change the formatting information for the selected element. This option is unavailable if the current Editor stylesheet was created using Arbortext Styler.
Edit FOSI Components — Accesses the FOSI Editor panel containing the formatting components of a FOSI such as All Style Sets and All Page Layout Sets. This option is unavailable if the current Editor stylesheet was created using Arbortext Styler.
Edit FOSI Groups — Accesses the FOSI Editor panel for configuring user-defined component groupings. These groups provide reference links to the system-defined Components dialog box. Use this panel to create logical groupings of components to suit your formatting needs. You can break component groups into smaller groups or group unlike resources, such as a counter, title element, and page layout. This option is unavailable if the ccurrent Editor stylesheet was created using Arbortext Styler.
Edit FOSI Tagged View — Opens the FOSI tagged view editor. This editor displays the current Editor stylesheet as a tagged SGML document. The terminology used in the tagged view conforms to the terminology in the specification on which FOSIs are based. This option is unavailable if the current Editor stylesheet was created using Arbortext Styler.
Note that FOSI Editor command are not available in the compact installation of Arbortext Editor.
Touchup — Provides document-level (local) formatting options. Touchup changes do not affect the current Editor stylesheet.
