Save Application Dialog Box
This dialog box allows you to save the application information that is necessary to reproduce a problem. The following options are available:
The Save options Local Data and PE Data are available when you are Using Arbortext Publishing Engine for publishing documents.
Choosing Local Data saves the application data associated with the local machine’s publishing configuration. Local Data also enables Compare Local Configuration with PE.
Choosing PE Data transmits the current document to Arbortext Publishing Engine, which will open the document and generate an application save from the server. It will include the data requested from the choices for Copy document type and Copy all applications. The application save will be returned to Arbortext Editor and put into the directory specified by Application save directory.
If there is no document open when you run Save Application, Arbortext Editor will not transmit a document to the server. Arbortext Publishing Engine will not include a document or a document type in the Save Application data.
PE Data disables Compare Local Configuration with PE.
Application save directoryArbortext Editor will create a folder in your working directory by default. You can choose another directory and specify an alternate name.
Copy document type — Select this if your current document type is not located in the one of the default doctypes folders of the installation directory.
Copy all applications — Available when using an application with Arbortext Editor. Arbortext Editor locates all files associated with the application and includes them in the saved location.

The application save will contain the comparison of the local machine’s publishing configuration and the Arbortext Publishing Engine server’s configuration.
