Notations Dialog Box
Use this dialog box to create, modify, and delete the notations used to associate graphic entity files with a graphics application.
The Notations dialog box contains the following fields and options:
Name — displays the notation name (usually the file extension for the graphic). These names appear as selections in the Graphic Entities dialog box.
DTD — is checked if the notation is declared in the document type definition (DTD).
System ID — displays the path and file name for a notation located on your system.
Public ID — displays the public identifier for the notation.
Count — Displays the number of times the notation occurs in the document. This column is displayed when you select the Count Uses button.
New — opens the New notation dialog box.
Duplicate — opens the New notation dialog box based on the selected notation.
Modify — opens the Modify notation dialog box based on the selected notation. If the notation is declared in the document type definition, the modify button will be disabled.
Delete — deletes the selected notation. You must delete all graphic entity markup tags using the notation from the document before deleting it in this dialog box. If the notation is declared in the document type definition, the delete button will be disabled.
Find — Searches the document for the selected notation, starting at the cursor location. Select Find again to continue searching the document. If the set entityscan option is set to on, the search will include any file entities referenced in the document.
Count Uses — Counts and displays in the Count column the number of references to notations used in the document. The count includes uses in any file entities referenced in the document.
